Live Nation Gains as Antitrust Trial May Not Happen Until 2026, Trump Likely to Win

Living Nation (NYSE:LYV) increased by 4% in the face of reports that the antitrust lawsuit of the US Department of Justice against the concert organizer will not go to court until 20026. Shares may also be helped by an increase in the chances of Donald Trump winning after Thursday evening’s presidential debate.

U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian called the schedule “adequate,” according to a Reuters report on Thursday covering the first hearing of the trial in New York. Live Nation (LYV) is pushing to move the case to Washington, D.C. Subramanian met with lawyers for both sides for about an hour on Thursday.

Late last month, the Justice Department and more than two dozen states filed an antitrust lawsuit against Live Nation (LYV), Ticketmaster’s parent company, seeking to break up the company.

Live Nation (LYV) stock could also rally after Thursday night’s presidential debate as investors view a potential Trump presidency as more positive on antitrust issues, as the Biden administration has been particularly stringent.
