“(We have) to come to the conclusion now that the transformation that we dream of for the Philippines will only be achieved if we are united, if we agree, there is a consensus among us and what needs to be done, how we are going to do it and we are all going to work together,” Marcos said.

The chief executive made the statement in his speech marking the signing of the alliance between the Marcos-led Partido Federal ng Pilipinas and the National Unity Party Alliance.

Marcos Jr. he added that the alliance was not a “marriage of convenience” but focused on public service.

“But we are organizing ourselves – this is not a marriage of convenience. This is an understanding that we have to come together if we want to transform our country into the modern, safe, sustainable, developing country that we dream of, that we have dreamed of all our lives. Because at the heart of what we do is public service and that is what we want to deliver,” he added.
