Lenzing appoints vice presidents for textiles and fibers

Austrian wood pulp-based cellulose fiber specialist Lenzing has announced the appointment of Kit Ping Au-Yeung as Executive Vice President, Textiles. Her predecessor, Florian Heubrandner, has been appointed Executive Vice President, Fibers.

Kit Ping Au-Yeung takes on a new role with decades of industry experience. She has worked for Coats Group in commercial and operational leadership positions, both nationally and globally. Previously, she worked for Amann Group.

The new manager will now be responsible for the development and expansion strategy of Lenzing’s textile offering. This includes industrial brands such as Tencel and Ecovero.

“Kit Ping’s vision aligns perfectly with Lenzing’s commitment to enable the production of fibers with a lower environmental impact,” says CEO Stephan Sielaff. “Kit Ping will play a key role in growing our core textile business as we see enormous growth opportunities in this sector. We are confident that the company will continue to achieve success under his leadership.”

Lenzing’s shareholder base has changed significantly, with the Brazilian company Suzano acquiring a 15% stake. The Austrian group achieved sales of EUR 2.5 billion in fiscal year 2023, slightly less than in the previous year. EBITDA rose from EUR 241 million to EUR 303 million.
