What is the story

OnePlus has started rolling out the second beta of the Android 15 update, specifically aimed at the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Open devices.

From the official announcement on the OnePlus forum, it appears that the Android 15 Beta 2 update focuses primarily on increasing system stability and performance.

Also fixes an issue where Auto Pixelate does not work when previewing screenshots.

A solution to problems occurring in split screen mode has been prepared especially for OnePlus Open.

Potential update issues

Despite the improvements, OnePlus has warned that the beta update may cause some issues.

For OnePlus 12 users, these may include problems playing music, using air gestures, switching camera modes, and selecting icon styles in the wallpaper and style settings.

Problems with probabilistic stability have also been reported.

OnePlus Open users may encounter similar difficulties, as well as additional issues such as recent task tabs not disappearing when splitting the screen and the taskbar not displaying properly when using floating windows.

Joining the beta program

OnePlus deemed the update “best suited for developers and other power users,” advising people with “little software development experience” or “little software development experience” from using it.

This early stage update is recommended for those who are comfortable with potentially unstable software.

Those interested in participating in the beta program can find instructions on the OnePlus forum.

The company recommends backing up your data before updating as it wipes your phone during installation.
