FMG Tech Forum Workshop Sheds Light on ‘Payment Authorization Failures’

As e-commerce sales increase, so do payment authorization errors, which are when financial service providers signal a customer’s online order. This means the order must be reviewed manually, causing the acceptance rate to drop dramatically – along with sales.

How big a problem is this? According to Riskified, $600 billion was tied up as a result of this process. However, the company offers automated technology that not only increases acceptance rates but also reduces chargebacks.

The company will be hosting a workshop at the FMG Tech Forum next week to share insights on this costly issue for retailers and brands. Retail executives are encouraged to attend this free session, which includes access to the entire event.

The 30-minute VIP virtual workshop, “E-Commerce Pain: Solving the $600 Billion Online Shopping Problem,” features WWD’s Arthur Zaczkiewicz and Riskified executives. The session will take place June 16 from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. ET during the event’s networking break.

During the workshops, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn: what payment authorization failures are and how they affect customer experience and the company’s financial results; what sellers can do to provide e-commerce customers with a seamless experience that generates consistent revenue, and how machine learning can better assess risk.

Please note: attendance is limited to a small group of management staff.
