Best New Android Games for July 2024

that's not my neighbor android game 2

Mobile gaming is constantly improving, and many new Android games are always available every month. Whether you’re a casual gamer, want something with a little more meat, or want to challenge your new smartphone with fast graphics, there’s usually a game available to suit everyone’s taste. With that being said, let’s take a look at the best new Android games for the coming month.

Cozy Grove: Camp Ghost

  • Price: Free, but requires a Netflix subscription
  • Developer: Netflix/Spry Fox
  • Genre:Adventure / Simulation

Another indie game recently appeared on the Google Play Store thanks to Netflix. Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit is a different kind of life simulation game, focusing on exploration, rebuilding, and bringing some much-needed color to a dull desert island. The game is all about aesthetics, with stunning characters, warm, watercolor landscapes, and a focus on performing kind deeds that increase the overall happiness of your community.

This port has a pretty low rating on the Play Store, but that’s probably not because of the gameplay. While the controls are a bit tricky at first, the game runs smoothly in our experience. There’s one big caveat, though: you’ll need a Netflix subscription to play it.

Survivors of the Twilight

  • Price: Free In-App Purchases $0.99-$9.99 per item
  • Developer:Sakura Game
  • Genre: Survival / Roguelite

Twilight Survivors, a title released on Steam and Nintendo Switch earlier this year, is now available on the Play Store.

You play as the last hope of the Bonder Continent after the world has been overrun by monsters and villains. Your mission is to wipe them off the map while the game clock slowly ticks down and adds an element of urgency. I’m not convinced there’s a strategy to progression in this title, but maybe that’s just how I play roguelites. The game offers a ton of weapons, unique abilities, and nine characters. There’s not a lot of replayability, but Twilight Survivors is fun in short bursts.

The title is free to play, but there are in-app purchases available to satisfy your monster-slaying desires.

He’s not my neighbor

  • Price: Free
  • Developer: TravConsult Games
  • Genre: Horror / Simulation
This is not my neighbor game for android 1

Papers, Please is one of my favorite titles, and That’s Not My Neighbor offers a slight twist on the bureaucracy simulator genre. You will play the role of a doorman who guards his building against a wave of doppelgangers in the 1950s. Your task is to identify the copies and deny them entry based on the information provided by the game.

It sounds simple, but weeding out sneaky lookalikes is harder than it seems. This game’s subtle humor and accessible art style make it more friendly to casual gamers. I’m not sure I’d let little kids play this title, but it shouldn’t keep adults up at night.

That’s Not My Neighbor is free, but some users have noticed the presence of ads here and there. However, we did not encounter any.

Honor of Kings

  • Price: Free/In-App purchases from $0.10 – $99.99 per item
  • Developed: Infinite level
  • Genre: MOBA
game honor of kings

Honor of Kings debuted in China almost a decade ago, but only recently became available globally on the Android platform.

In short, it is a 5v5 MOBA game with over 100 heroes divided into several classes and the familiar three-track map layout. Like all MOBA games, your goal is to work with your teammates to destroy the enemy base.

I’m not a MOBA player, so I can’t speak directly to how the game compares to other games in the genre, like LoL: Wild Rift. But Honor of Kings has really clean graphics, movement animations, and a pretty active community.

The game is free to play, but in-app purchases can cost over $90.

GUNCHO

  • Price: Free in-app purchases starting at $5.49 each
  • Developer: Arnold Rauers
  • Genre: Strategy

GUNCHO is a western-style turn-based shooter in which the player’s task is to navigate randomly generated levels using hexadecimal tiles. The goal is to keep you in the optimal position at all times, using barriers and hazards as cover and opportune moments to reload.

The mechanics of the revolver ensure that in the best possible scenario you will only have six bullets loaded. However, the title is mostly about juggling ammo without becoming a bullet sponge and using movement options to avoid or stun opponents. The game also features a variety of enemies, each with their own strengths and threats. Goats even become a factor at various times.

GUNCHO has a lot of replay value and rewards different playstyles. There’s a lot to delve into, even if it’s not the best looking title on mobile.

Meow Meow Warriors

  • Price: Free In-App Purchases $0.99-$94.99 per item
  • Developer: Imba Global
  • Genre: Idle RPG

Finally, let’s dive into the idle RPG. Meow Meow Warriors features adorable character designs and engaging graphics. You play as a Cat Guardian, protecting kitties from the mechanical monsters of the Mewcha Corporation.

Its mechanics make it easy to learn but difficult to master. Players breeze through levels, but remembering to spend skill points and collect coins becomes a core feature of the gameplay. Am I a fan? Not really. I usually find idle RPGs pretty boring, but Meow Meow Warriors is charming enough to keep me interested.

The game is free to play, but you may be tempted to make an in-app purchase, which can cost up to $90 for some items.
