Tugendhat defends defense policy amid recruitment problems

Conservative Security Minister Tom Tugendhat has defended the government’s defence policy in the face of record-low recruitment to the armed forces, highlighting significant investment in nuclear technology and advanced equipment such as the DragonFire laser system. Tugendhat also expresses a commitment to veterans and criticises Labour for failing to provide similar support. He has stressed the need to boost recruitment, particularly to the army, air force and navy, to ensure national security against threats such as those posed by Vladimir Putin.
