The City of Two Rivers reminds residents of the rules regarding dogs on city beaches.

Currently, regulations state that dogs are not allowed on Nashotah Beach and its concrete beach walk, except in the mornings from 6:00 to 10:00 a.m.

Dogs are allowed on beaches from Nashotah to North Pier at all times as long as they are on a leash.

In Two Rivers, dogs are allowed off-leash on the beaches off Memorial Drive Wayside.

City Manager Greg Buckley spoke with Seehafer News to further explain the regulations.

“If you have a large dog that loves the water and you want to go somewhere where you can still have control over him but still be able to go out to the shore and throw him some toys to fetch, the beaches along Memorial Drive are areas where dogs without leashes are allowed.”

Buckley also added that these regulations are intended to provide beachgoers and their dogs with better conditions to relax.
