Freenow has rejected suggestions that there will be a shortage of taxis in Dublin and sharply criticized calls for easing regulations in the sector.

The taxi app says there are “tipping points” and busy periods where demand outstrips supply, but denied that this was a reason to add cars and drivers to the country’s taxi fleet.
