You can add HomeKit support to your garage door: Here’s how

The Tailwind iQ3 is similar in many ways to the other smart devices mentioned above. Tailwind only recently started including HomeKit support, but its integration is quite simple. No special configuration is required before or during installation, just configure the device according to the product manual.

Adding your Tailwind iQ3 to HomeKit is the final step in the setup process. Once you’ve installed the device in your garage opener and set it up in the Tailwind app, go to your device’s Settings, where you’ll find a button to generate a HomeKit code. Make sure your Tailwind iQ3’s firmware is up to date. Otherwise, the code won’t work and you won’t be able to connect it to HomeKit. You can update your device using the Tailwind app.

Once updated, the iQ3 will appear in the HomeKit app. Sometimes the Tailwind app will tell you that your device’s software is now up to date, but it still won’t show up in HomeKit. Manually pressing the “Update” button should force an update anyway, which will solve this problem.
