Renewable Energy Companies Are Behaving Like the ‘Wild West’: Judith Sloan

Judith Sloan, editor of the Australian journal Ekonomia, says renewable energy companies are behaving like the “wild, wild west”.

“They have guaranteed cash flow from the government, they have shortened the environmental approval processes for projects and they have basically been given the green light over strong opposition from residents,” Ms Sloan told Sky News Australia.

“City dwellers, inner-city dwellers, teals, Greens… they simply turn the other eye when it comes to external costs.”
