Startups encourage Indians to rise and shine in KKK episode 5

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) (India), June 29: “I am India’s first cycling mayor,” declares Nikita Lalwani, founder of Crooz, a cycling app for enthusiasts that is taking the fitness world by storm. “My mission is to shake and wake up most of the Indians who are currently inactive, completely,” adds Nikita, ending her three-minute speech with a few seconds to share.

Nikita presented in the fifth episode of Kal Ke Krorepati – Chhote Sheher Bade Sapne. Throughout much of her presentation, she had investors sweating, wanting more.

But the second startup, Navin Kishore Singh, intrigued investors with his phygital startup Urban Nomads. “We were on the road for eight months, living in 45 different cities, and we realised that the whole co-living and co-working space was disjointed and dysfunctional. We saw a huge opportunity and grabbed it with both hands,” explains Navin.

Investors, impressed, asked Navin to start a hackneyed startup to understand the unit economics of the same.

“There are huge opportunities opening up in this new-age business space and any good entrepreneur can leverage this new trend for workplace experiences in remote locations. The phygital part is more exciting because it adds depth,” says Saswat at Urban Nomads.

“It’s great that young people are encouraged to discover nature by cycling, traveling or simply getting out of their comfort zone. I’m glad that our platform attracts independent thinkers,” exclaims the program’s founder, Milapsinh Jadeja.
