Petron rewards customers with Samsung gadgets

Petron Malaysia conducted its first lucky draw under its Smiles Samsung promotion and 130 lucky winners went home with attractive Samsung gadgets, including the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.

Petron Malaysia, the company that took over Esso and Mobil’s petrol operations in Malaysia about a year ago, has been running various promotions to thank its loyal customers for sticking with the brand since the company took over. One such promotion is the Samsung Smiles Promotion, where Petron Malaysia rewarded loyal Smiles card members with the first draw of the promotion. It was announced that after the first draw, 130 lucky winners won some great Samsung gadgets.

Petron Malaysia Retail Sales Director, Pn Faridah Ali, said: “As a company committed to delivering innovation and convenience in service, we strive to provide our customers with a rewarding experience every time they visit a Petron station and fill up with our Blaze RON 95 and 97, DieselMax or visit our Treats convenience stores. This exciting promotion is just one of the many ways we thank our customers for their loyalty and patronage.”

The Smiles Samsung promotion started on May 15 and will last until August 12, 2013. Customers participating in this promotion will have a chance to win one of 150 Samsung Galaxy cameras or 300 Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 after refueling at any Petron, Esso or Mobil gas station. Unlike most promotions and competitions, the requirements for the Petron promotion are very simple. Just swipe your Smiles card with every purchase you make at any of the above-mentioned gas stations. Every 40 Smiles points you accumulate qualifies you to automatically take part in the competition.

One of the lucky draw winners was En. Ahmad Yani B. Abas from Kuala Lumpur. The delighted winner said about the promotion, “I am very happy and excited to win this contest. With this rewarding experience, I will definitely continue to fill up at Petron petrol stations.”

The Smiles Driver Rewards card is awarded to Petron customers as part of a loyalty program that rewards drivers with points every time they refuel at any of the aforementioned fuel stations. Membership is free, and Smiles cardholders can instantly redeem their points for a wide range of fuel station items, including home appliances, car accessories, lifestyle items and more. One Smiles point is awarded for every RM1 of fuel purchased.
