The Trina Solar Japan Energy Agri-PV project has reached the commercial phase

Trina Solar Japan Energy (TSJE), the Japanese regional arm of Trinasolar ISBU (International System Business Unit), announced that its large-scale 2.34 MWp Agri-PV project in Fukuchiyama has entered commercial operation.

The commercial operation ceremony was attended by key project stakeholders, including Feng Chen, representative director of TSJE, Masahiro Shimomura, president and chief operating officer of NCR Services Japan, an EPC contractor, and Koji Ogino, president of Yakuno agricultural promotion corporation.

The project began in October 2023 and features Trina 210 N-Type 690W modules with original rectangular cell technology to maximize customer value with high power, high efficiency, high reliability, high capacity and low electricity costs. It will produce 2,700 MWh of clean energy annually, eliminating 1,760 tons of carbon dioxide.

As a large-scale Agri-PV project, this plant represents a new milestone for the ISBU Trinasolar team in the Japanese market. Solar energy sharing optimizes agricultural land use by enabling simultaneous crop production and power generation on the same plot, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and Trinasolar adopts the innovative “PV+” model to promote the green modernization of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fisheries.
