Pfizer Earnings Above, Third Quarter Revenues Down

Investing.com – Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) on Tuesday reported third-quarter earnings that topped analyst expectations and revenue that was below forecasts.

The company reported earnings per share of $0.78 on revenue of $13.3 billion. Analysts surveyed by Investing.com were expecting earnings of $0.75 per share on revenue of $13.55 billion. That compared to earnings per share of $0.67 on revenue of $12.90 billion in the same period a year earlier. The company reported earnings per share of $0.81 on revenue of $13.47 billion in the previous quarter.

Pfizer shares are up 19.35% for the year, outperforming the S&P Global (NYSE:SPGI) 100 Index, which is down 3.51% year-to-date.
