The new Life Fitness Track+ console uses mobile devices to streamline your home workouts

ROSEMONT, IL–(Marketwired – December 3, 2013) – Life Fitness, a company recognized for providing high-quality fitness equipment to health clubs and homes worldwide, is bringing enhanced functionality to its home cardio equipment with the Track+ console. The new console is compatible with Apple or Android devices, allowing users to customize and track workouts using popular fitness apps.

The Track+ console is available with Life Fitness home treadmills, elliptical trainers and Lifecycle™ exercise bikes and features a built-in entertainment stand that puts exercisers’ tablets and smartphones within arm’s reach, turning their mobile device into a secondary display. The entertainment stand is the perfect option for easily viewing mobile apps that can help streamline your workout—from calorie burn counters that help track weight loss goals to scenic route apps that show different routes to keep your workout exciting.

“As a technology leader in the fitness equipment industry, our goal is to enhance the workout experience by providing exercisers with a more customizable and enjoyable experience that helps them achieve their fitness goals,” said Chris Clawson, president of Life Fitness. “By enabling the use of personal mobile devices with our devices – both at home and in the gym – we put the control in the hands of exercisers to create a workout that works best for them.”

The Track+ Console is one of the Life Fitness LFopen™ platform products, designed to evolve with technology as more fitness apps become available. All fitness apps compatible with LFopen™ products can be used with the Track+ Console to enhance your workouts, including the Life Fitness LFconnect app, Paofit, Lose It!, Runtastic, SoFit, Kinomap, BullTrainer and Cardio Legend. Charging is also available when connected to the console, either through the console’s Android USB port or through the iPod/iPhone dock.
