National Renewable Network (NRN), the leading platform revolutionising access to renewable energy resources in Australia, is proud to announce the successful completion of a $1 million pre-Series A bridging funding round.

The NRN model aims to revolutionise the way consumers access distributed energy resources for their homes and businesses, making sustainable energy solutions more accessible and effective.

The NRN model aligns with the goals of energy retailers and consumers by offering solar and battery installations at no upfront cost. This approach reduces homeowners’ energy bills, increases property values and supports grid stability.

By 2030, NRN aims to equip hundreds of thousands of Australian homes with cost-cutting solar and battery systems, significantly increasing the use of renewable energy. By 2040, this impact is expected to reach more than 2 million homes worldwide.

Asia-Pacific venture capital firm Investible led the round through its Climate Tech Fund. Investible has committed more than $400,000 to the funding round.

“We are excited to support NRNs in their mission to make renewable energy accessible to all Australians,” said Ben Lindsay, investment manager of the Investible Climate Tech Fund.

“Their innovative model addresses environmental and economic issues by providing a scalable solution that benefits homeowners, energy retailers and the entire energy grid.”

NRN CEO Alan Hunter said: “Securing pre-Series A funding is a key step in laying the groundwork for a large Series A round later this year.

“We are grateful for the support of Investible, Electrifi Ventures and our other investors. Their support validates our vision and efforts to make renewable energy solutions affordable and accessible.

“We will be working closely with Investible over the next few months to prepare for our next capital raise, which will enable us to scale our operations and bring the benefits of solar and battery systems to more homes across Australia.”
