Lieutenant Governor Garcia Cites Renewable Energy Trend

Lieutenant Governor Cris Garcia said Tuesday that “we must adapt to the growing renewable energy trend in the face of climate change and skyrocketing fuel prices.”

The vice governor addressed the issue raised during the GMEC/GNPD Stakeholder Convergence Meeting held at Emiliana Hall in Balanga City, which was attended by local government unit heads from Bataan District 3. She said the Bataan provincial government is gradually transitioning to solar energy and developing solar farms in the province. The Sangguniang Panlalawigan, under her leadership, supports these efforts to develop renewable energy sources in the province.

Other local officials who expressed support for the collaborative efforts of GNPower Mariveles Corp. and GNPower Dinginin for environmental protection are Orani Municipal Councilor Maya Bongco, Samal Jay Municipal Administrator Sammy Lat and Mariveles Mayor AJ Concepcion.
