SIFC plays an important role in promoting the IT and telecommunications sectors

The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) plays an important role in promoting the IT and telecom sectors in the country.

Taking into account the recommendations of the SIFC, the government has issued instructions to the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications and PEPRA to accelerate and improve the digitization of public procurement and other government functions.

Using the Cloud Procurement Framework, government agencies will process all orders.

The 5G auction process will also be completed this month; in this regard, instructions have been issued to the Law Division to proactively address the 5G cases pending in the Islamabad and Sindh High Courts.

The Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Affairs has approved two hundred and thirty-five million rupees for Pakistan Startup Fund and two hundred and twenty-nine million rupees for E-Rozgar programme.
