Sportking expands into e-commerce – India Retailing

The company has over 100 stores in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana

New Delhi: Vertically integrated textile brand Sportking has expanded its online presence across India, the company announced on Monday.

The retailer, which has over 100 stores across Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana, launched its website sportkingfashion.com as part of its e-commerce expansion, the release added.

“Over 27 years, Sportking has built deep relationships with communities across North India. Our commitment to quality and affordability has made us a mass premium brand and we are excited to take this value proposition to a wider audience through e-commerce,” said Munish Avasthi, Managing Director, Sportking.

Founded in 1977 by Raj Avasthi and Munish Avasthi, Sportking is an Indian textile conglomerate offering fashionable clothing for men, women, and children. Some of the products offered include dresses, pajamas, sets, tracksuits, tops, and jeans for women, and tracksuit bottoms, shorts, jeans, tracksuit bottoms, shirts, and T-shirts for men. The retailer has seven manufacturing units and a retail space of around a hundred stores. It has reported an annual turnover of Rs 2,500-3,000 crore.
