After ChatGPT, Apple may connect Google Gemini to its devices: Report

Apple is reportedly working on integrating Gemini from Google into its devices. The integration could be announced this year, according to a report by The Verge.

Rumors that Apple intends to integrate the Google Gemini service have been circulating since the Cupertino-based company announced that it intended to integrate Apple devices with the ChatGPT service.

Apple is working on integrating AI features into its devices, and has announced that Apple Intelligence (AI) will soon be available on iPhones, iPads, and Macs. The company reportedly rejected Meta Llama models for iPhones because it believes Meta’s privacy practices aren’t strict enough. While Apple is all about AI, the company is also hawkish about its device’s security.

Apple is expected to enable third-party AI services to generate revenue through in-app purchases. As highlighted in the report, it is seen as a temporary solution for the company as it implements its own generative artificial intelligence system
