Guardian Capital Partners launches Door & Dock in North America through key acquisition

WAYNE, PA — Guardian Capital Partners has unveiled its latest venture, the North American Door & Dock platform. This new initiative began with the acquisition of American Overhead Door & Dock, LLC (AODD), a leading door and dock services company headquartered in Levittown, Pennsylvania.

Since its founding in 1989 by Joe Swope Jr., AODD has become a key player in the tri-state area, expanding into Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, New York and beyond. The company specializes in a wide range of services including sales, installation, maintenance and repair of gates, loading dock equipment and security products. Its diverse clientele spans sectors such as commercial, industrial, cold storage, distribution and pharmaceuticals.

Damien Gresko, Guardian’s director, expressed admiration for AODD’s excellent reputation and track record of services. “We are very impressed with the U.S. industry’s reputation and track record of exceptional services in the region,” Gresko said, emphasizing the company’s commitment to expanding AODD’s market reach. Guardian’s strategy includes not only expanding the company’s geographic reach, but also enhancing its service offering through investments in personnel, infrastructure, and mergers and acquisitions.

The partnership is celebrated by AODD founders and leadership, and Joe Swope Jr. recognizes Guardian’s operator-centric culture and shared vision as key drivers behind the alliance. “We are proud of the reputation we have built over the years and are excited about the next chapter of the company’s growth,” Swope noted. His sons, Joe Swope III and Devon Swope, also expressed enthusiasm about continuing the company’s legacy under Guardian’s leadership, with the goal of strengthening AODD’s position as a supplier of choice in its operating regions.

Guardian Partner Ryan Northington highlighted the significant potential of this partnership, noting that AODD’s extensive industry relationships, comprehensive service offering and unwavering commitment to quality and customer satisfaction provide a solid foundation for the North American Door & Dock platform. “We look forward to organic growth and welcoming other great companies to this platform,” said Northington, outlining the platform’s ambitious growth plans, which have been developed under Guardian’s thematic investment approach to facility services.

This acquisition marks the beginning of what promises to be an expansive growth of the North American Door & Dock platform, setting a precedent for further strategic acquisitions and organic expansion efforts. With Guardian Capital Partners at the helm, AODD is poised to reach new heights in the commercial and industrial gate and dock services industry.
