IRSA releases 324,300 cusecs of water

Indus River System Authority (IRSA) released 324,300 cusecs of water from various shore stations against an inflow of 422,100 cusecs.

According to data released by IRSA, the water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Barrage was 1,473.80 feet, which was 75.80 feet higher than the dead level of 1,398 feet.

On Monday, water inflow and outflow at the dam was recorded at 2,20,400 cusecs and 1,45,000 cusecs respectively.

The water level of the Jhelum River at Mangla Barrage was 1,184.60 feet, 136.60 feet higher than the dead level of 1,050 feet.

Water inflow and outflow were 52,400 cusecs and 30,000 cusecs respectively. Water discharge at Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu and Sukkur were 2,13,400, 1,70,100, 85,800 and 18,200 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, a total of 81,100 cusecs of water was released from the Kabul river at Nowshera and 36,700 cusecs from the Chenab river at Marala.
