ScottishPower appoints new CFO and CEO for SP Energy Networks

ScottishPower has made two new senior appointments: Charles Langan is its new chief financial officer and Nicola Connelly is new chief executive of SP Energy Networks.

Both are recognised leaders within ScottishPower, with Charles previously holding senior finance roles in the UK and Spain, most notably managing fixed income investor relations at Iberdrola Group and most recently serving as Chief Financial and Resources Officer at ScottishPower.

Nicola takes over from Vicky Kelsall who is retiring after 30 years with ScottishPower and the Iberdrola Group, including its North American businesses PacifiCorp and Avangrid, before being appointed CEO of SP Energy Networks in 2022.

Nicola is widely recognized within the Iberdrola Group for her outstanding service and excellent leadership qualities. Since joining the company in 1995, she has held various leadership roles at ScottishPower. She previously served as Chief Financial Officer at SP Energy Networks and in July 2021 was appointed Chief Audit and Administration Officer at ScottishPower.
