European antitrust regulators have accused Meta of violating EU competition law. Brussels has found Meta’s new “pay or agree” advertising model to be in breach of the Digital Markets Act, which aims to ensure fair competition and curb the power of Big Tech. French shares also rose after the far-right National Rally won the most votes in Sunday’s first round of parliamentary elections, but the result indicated a hung parliament.
