Anthony Mantha, Michael Amadio leave Golden Knights as free agents | Golden Knights

More and more Golden Knights free agents are changing clubs.

Right wingers Michael Amadio and Anthony Mantha have signed new contracts and will not return to the Knights.

Amadio is signing a three-year, $7.8 million contract with the Ottawa Senators, while Mantha is heading to the Calgary Flames on a one-year, $3.5 million contract, both teams announced Monday.

Amadio is coming off a two-and-a-half-season contract with the Knights. The team acquired him on waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs in October 2021.

Amadio scored 72 points in 193 games with the Knights. He had 10 points in 16 games during the team’s run to the Stanley Cup in 2023.

Mantha was acquired by the Knights on March 5 from the Washington Capitals for a second-round pick in this year’s draft and a fourth-round pick in 2026. Mantha scored 10 points in 18 games after the move.

The 29-year-old failed to find his place in the Knights’ playoff run, failing to score a single point in the first three games of their first-round series with the Dallas Stars before being a healthy reserve the rest of the way.

The Vancouver Canucks announced that they have signed goaltender Jiri Patera to a two-year, two-way contract.

Patera, 25, appeared in six games with the Knights last season, going 1-3-1 with a 3.98 goals against average and a .893 save percentage. He played 25 games with Henderson in the American Hockey League and went 11-10-4 with a 2.99 goals against average and a .903 save percentage.
