Another acquisition from Herc | Vertikal.net

The American company Herc Rentals has acquired the New York-based Durante Rentals, which has offices in New York, New Jersey and Delaware.

Durante was founded by John Durante and Christopher Jones in 2009 and offers a wide range of equipment, including boom lifts and telehandlers. The company has grown rapidly over the past 15 years through organic growth and several acquisitions.

The company currently operates five locations in New York City, including its New Rochelle headquarters, as well as locations in Astoria, the Bronx, West Nyack and Carme, a branch in Hasbrouck Heights, N.J., and four locations in Delaware—Wilmington/New Castle, Smyrna, Georgetown and Delmare. The Delaware locations operate under the Iron Source brand, which Durante acquired last May.

The company said in a statement: “Our approach has been to challenge ourselves and our team, always to grow one day ahead, and never settle for ‘what everyone else is doing.’ We attribute our success to clear communication, respect for ourselves, our colleagues and our customers, excellent customer service, and the ‘old-fashioned’ way of doing business combined with cutting-edge ideas and technology.”
