In a strategic move to expand its market reach, Ipswich-based Stony Creek Brewing announced the acquisition of 4 Hearts Brewery and The Pumpyard Bar.

Stony Creek Brewing co-founder Deryk Anderson said expansion has always been part of the brewery’s vision.

“Developing our nanobrewery in the Lockyer Valley has always been part of our vision,” Anderson said.

“The opportunity to acquire 4 Hearts has come at the perfect time and we are delighted to be bringing our passion for traditional independent brewing to this iconic Ipswich location.”

Co-founder and former 4 Hearts Brewery and Pumpyard Bar employee Jack Anderson will take on the executive position, tasked with overseeing the integration and launch of the Stony Creek beer line.

“Working closely with the team and our customers, I am confident that our operations will merge seamlessly. We are committed to keeping the beloved 4 Hearts beers on our menu,” Anderson said.

Stony Creek Brewing plans to make some minor improvements to its facilities and menu in the coming month.

The new offering will appeal to beer lovers and local customers looking for a quick and filling meal.

“Engaging with the Ipswich and Lockyer Valley communities is a top priority for us,” said co-founder and event organiser Karen Anderson.

“We look forward to participating in local events like Spark Festival, Galvanized, and Fire in the Grove. Follow our website and social media for updates.”
