Samsung accuses Broadcom of violating antitrust laws in lawsuit (1)

Samsung Electronics Co. his chip supplier said, Broadcom Inc.prevents the Korean electronics giant from switching to other suppliers of its flagship Galaxy phones, a violation of federal antitrust law.

A federal lawsuit filed by Samsung on Monday accuses San Jose, California-based Broadcom of entering into a “binding agreement” that prevented Samsung from purchasing key cellphone components, such as Wi-Fi and GPS chips, from Broadcom’s competitors.
