Acquisition for AZ | OPI

American independent dealer AZ Office Resource has expanded its presence in Virginia.

Effective July 1, AZ – headquartered in Tennessee – acquired Wytheville Office Supply. Known locally as “The Big Pencil,” Wytheville Office Supply was founded in 1948 by John Campbell Findlay and now serves customers in Virginia and parts of West Virginia, Tennessee and North Carolina.

Many Wytheville employees remained with the company following the acquisition to maintain customer relationships.

“Joining forces with AZ Office Resource will allow us to leverage the financial benefits of our manufacturing partners, the logistical support of an expanded network, and many other services,” Wytheville said in a note to clients.
