Srettha addresses the key role of digital transformation in increasing the efficiency of the public and private sectors

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin officially inaugurated the workshop titled “Digital Korat: The Future Starts Now – Korat, the Digital Metropolis of the Future” to be held on July 1 at the Nong Rawiang Education Center of Rajamangala University of Technology in Isan, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.

The event is attended by key government figures, including Minister of Digital Economy and Society Prasert Chantararuangthong and other dignitaries, and aims to integrate digital technology into various sectors.

During his speech, Srettha touched on the critical role of digital transformation in increasing the efficiency of the public and private sectors to keep up with technological advances. He outlined Thailand’s vision of moving towards a digital government, which will improve the delivery of public services and make Thailand a leader in the global industrial and digital economy landscape.

The Prime Minister stressed the need to enhance the skills and adaptability of citizens and public sector employees to meet the demands of the digital age. He expressed hope that the workshops would raise the level of understanding and implementation of digital technologies to accelerate Thailand’s economic development and raise living standards.

Minister Prasert, detailing the objectives of the workshop, said that the initiative aims to promote digital competences, promote paperless activities and use data to solve problems, which will contribute to the development of the province and more efficient delivery of public services.

Later, the Prime Minister attended the Digitalization for Sustainable Development exhibition, where he interacted with exhibits and participants, and also took part in a photo session with students. (NNTs)
