White & Case Advises Providence Equity Partners on Sale of Globeducate

Global law firm White & Case LLP advised Providence Equity Partners (Providence) on the sale of its 50% stake in Globeducate to French investment firm Wendel.

“This is the latest in a series of significant transactions on which we have advised Providence,” said White & Case partner Richard Jones, who led the firm’s transaction team. “It is another example of our ability to advise on high-value cross-border transactions.”

Providence, a Globeducate shareholder since 2017, will retain the remaining 50% stake alongside Wendel, which will invest approximately €625 million. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2024, pending customary regulatory approvals.

The White & Case team advising on the transaction was led by partner Richard Jones and counsel Joshua Alexander-Passe (both London), and included partners Will Smith (London), Strati Sakellariou-Witt (Brussels), Orion Berg, Xavier Petet (both Paris), Javier Monzon, Carlos Daroca (both Madrid) and Caitlin Powell Gimpel (New York), and associates Valeriya Anopchenko, Hanna Gaffar, Holly Cook, Serena Howard, Elena Ruggiu (all London), Tommaso Poli (Brussels, Milan), Mia Monas (Brussels), Valentin Morichon, Gregoire Berger, Anais Eudes (all Paris), Lucia Quiroga and Leticia Calbacho (both Madrid).
