SJB parliamentary group excludes state government – Current news

Parliament, July 2 (Daily Mirror) – The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) parliamentary group unanimously passed a resolution stating that the party will not support any national government led by President Ranil Wickremesinghe, SJB secretary general Ranjith Madduma Bandara said today.

“We rejected the proposal of President Wickremesinghe’s national government two years ago. Today we have renewed that decision,” Madduma Bandara told reporters in parliament today.

The resolution was proposed by MP Buddika Pathirana at this morning’s meeting of the parliamentary group.
