ShipCalm acquires River Source Logistics in strategic move to expand e-commerce fulfillment and third-party logistics capabilities

SAN DIEGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–As omni-channel fulfillment becomes an increasingly important priority for today’s brands, they continue to face significant challenges in meeting changing market demands, driven primarily by the complexity associated with supporting omni-channel logistics across multiple sales channels.


To help retailers overcome these challenges and gain a competitive advantage, ShipCalm, an e-commerce operations platform and third-party logistics provider, has announced a strategic acquisition. By acquiring River Source Logistics (RSL), ShipCalm is able to provide its customers with a more comprehensive and cost-effective approach to logistics services.

As part of the acquisition, which will more than double its customer base, ShipCalm will retire its San Diego warehouse and move operations to Los Angeles. The new, larger warehouse provides three times the capacity of the current facility and will provide ShipCalm customers with a more seamless order fulfillment and shipping experience, reduced costs and the ability to scale.

“This will make life easier for all of our customers, allowing them to grow and expand, especially their operations on the West Coast,” Moser said. “We will now have large warehouses and fulfillment centers centrally located — in Indiana and Los Angeles — which is a very attractive proposition for international customers. All four corners of the United States are now easily accessible for their shipping requirements.”
