WORCESTER, Mass. (WWLP) – Authorities are issuing a public warning after three homemade explosive devices were recently found in Worcester.

The Worcester District Attorney’s Office is asking people to be on the lookout for unattended coolers or other suspicious items. They said the first device was found June 19 when a small explosion occurred on Madison Street in Worcester. Investigators said they found fireworks, a can of butane gas and projectile materials.

Two other devices that were not detonated but were constructed of similar materials and placed in coolers were also found in Worcester last month. Anyone who sees suspicious items is asked to call 911.
