NinjaOne introduces new possibilities for managing mobile devices

NinjaOne announced the launch of new Mobile Device Management (MDM) capabilities designed to support a wide range of devices, including iOS and Android platforms. This expansion is designed to support corporate- and consumer-owned devices, addressing the needs of today’s mobile workforce.

According to data from analyst firm Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG), about 70% of employees use four or more endpoint devices daily. As a result, unmanaged mobile devices are becoming an increasingly significant point of vulnerability for organizations, expanding their attack surfaces and reducing overall productivity. Newly introduced MDM capabilities aim to provide comprehensive control and visibility over these mobile devices to ensure they are properly configured, compliant with organizational policies, secure, and functional.

Gabe Knuth, Senior Analyst in TechTarget’s Enterprise Strategy Group, commented, “Modern organizations run on endpoints, and as the number of mobile devices accessing corporate networks increases, it becomes increasingly difficult for IT teams to properly manage and secure them. The organizations we advise are looking to reduce the number of tools they use and the complexity of their technology stack. Ultimately, IT needs a comprehensive endpoint management solution that unifies every device to keep employees productive and minimize risk.”

NinjaOne says its MDM enables managed service providers (MSPs) and IT teams to automate, control, and enforce policies across a variety of mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, and IoT devices, effectively increasing consistency and efficiency in endpoint management, as well as improving security measures. Key benefits highlighted by the company include reduced complexity and costs, improved mobile device management and security, and increased end-user productivity and satisfaction.

Ernie Turner, CIO at Vetcor, shared his experience with the new MDM capabilities: “Mobile devices are becoming a bigger part of how our employees work, but it’s difficult to track, manage, and secure these devices. Our goal is to equip our team with the technology they need to be the most productive, which is why we turned to NinjaOne for mobile device management.”

“NinjaOne has saved our technicians time and resources by automating endpoint management and bringing all of our managed devices (servers, laptops, smartphones, etc.) into one console. This has freed us up to become more strategic business partners and reduce the organization’s risk and attack surface.”

The company emphasizes that endpoint management is evolving as more and more employees use mobile devices for work purposes. Sal Sferlazza, CEO and co-founder of NinjaOne, stated, “As endpoints continue to evolve, and as more and more employees use mobile devices for work, the market must adapt to customer needs as work habits and endpoints change.”

“Today, IT teams need to ensure all mobile devices are compliant, up to date and secure to ensure employees can do their best work. NinjaOne MDM consolidates the many different devices IT teams manage into one console, providing a simple way to improve security and productivity while freeing up time and resources.”

With new MDM capabilities, NinjaOne aims to mitigate the risks associated with the use of mobile devices in the workplace while enabling IT teams to maintain an efficient and secure work environment. The platform’s expanded features are designed to meet the changing needs of modern organizations, offering a unified endpoint management system that spans multiple devices and increases overall security and productivity.
