Amazon India Announces Annual Prime Day Sale on July 20-21

Amazon India’s annual Prime Day sale will begin on July 20, the e-commerce firm said on Tuesday, with thousands of new products from 450 brands set to be unveiled over the two days.

Brands include Intel, OnePlus, Samsung, Bajaj, Sony, Motorola, Boat, HP, American Tourister, Lapo, Chetak, Borosil, Riversoft, Yale, Adidas, Crocs, Mamaearth and HUL.

The eighth edition of the event will start at midnight on July 20 and will last until 11:59 PM on July 21. The fair will feature products from electronics, fashion and beauty, food, Amazon devices, household and kitchen products, furniture and other categories at discounted prices.

“We are excited to offer Prime members two days of great deals and savings, thousands of new products from over 450 brands, blockbuster entertainment and more. Not only this, Prime members ordering from across India will be able to enjoy same-day and next-day delivery on millions of products,” said Akshay Sahi, Director and Head, Amazon Prime, Delivery and Returns Experiences, India and Emerging Markets.

The company started Prime Day in India in 2017 with 100 product launches. Last year, it announced over 45,000 such launches, up from 30,000 in 2022.

The event is also expected to give a boost to new Amazon Prime members. Amazon Prime is a subscription membership that offers premium services to its customers. In India, Prime members get free same-day shipping on over 4 lakh products and unlimited 5 percent cashback on all purchases using the co-branded ICICI credit card, among other benefits.

This Prime Day, the company will continue to support small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and offer Prime members products from hundreds of sellers, manufacturers, startups, women entrepreneurs, artisans, weavers and local shops. SMBs will launch these products through Amazon programs like Launchpad, Karigar, Saheli and local shops, offering deep discounts, the company said.

On the occasion, Prime Video’s streaming service will announce 14 original series and movies in five languages. They include the award-winning series “Mirzapur Season 3” (Hindi) and the international series “The Boys Season 4” (English), Amazon said.
