KEC International receives orders worth Rs 1,000 crore for projects in transmission and clean energy sectors

KEC International, an engineering and manufacturing company operating within the RPG Group, announced in a stock exchange filing on July 2 that it has received new orders worth 1,017 crore in the transmission and distribution (T&D) and clean energy sectors.

The company said its year-on-year order intake exceeded 5,000 crore, reflecting a remarkable growth of 50% over the previous year. Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director and CEO, KEC International Ltd, expressed satisfaction over the continuous order flow during the first quarter of the financial year.

The secured orders include an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) design and supply of towers in the Middle East, as well as a contract for the remaining system package for a 625 MWp solar project in Rajasthan from a subsidiary of an undisclosed power company in the renewable energy generation segment.

Kejriwal stressed the company’s confidence in the renewable EPC business, which is a significant contributor to future growth, while also highlighting the strengthening of their presence in the international T&D market with orders from the Middle East. The company’s shares closed 2.16% higher 903 on the NSE on July 2.
