Dunelm sells ‘smart’ Ninja gadget that makes pizza and panini in one toaster

With the rise in popularity of air fryers, grills and Ninja kitchen appliances, it can be harder for shoppers to get their hands on one of the plug-in gadgets. Now Dunelm is selling a quirky device you may have never heard of before, and it’s much more than its simple name suggests.

The Ninja Foodi 3-in-1 Toaster does a lot more than its name suggests, with a cool grill and panini maker function that not everyone knows about. Sure, it can do a simple bread toasting job, but when you turn the device on its side, it can also be used as a grill and panini maker.

The £149.99 appliance, which eliminates the need for a messy worktop, has three official functions in one. You can still buy it from Ninja, but now Dunelm has added it to its range amid its popularity, with users saying they don’t know how they “coped in the kitchen without it”.

Thanks to its versatile design, not only can you toast bread or your favorite Easter rolls in the traditional slot, but you can also rotate the device to prepare grilled cheese on toast, warm pastries, or even make panini such as traditional Italian cold cuts and mozzarella.

“This is no ordinary toaster,” according to one recent customer who posted a review on Ninja. They said: “A beautiful stainless steel design that’s perfect for our new modern kitchen. The kids love the panini function, and I still find it lying around in the morning after the kids have done it at night.”

Another recent customer said he had “no regrets” purchasing the Ninja and shared how he used it: “I love the versatility of having a toaster and grill in one product… plus it’s sleek and matches my kitchen decor, which adds to the quality and value of the product.”

The Ninja is not an ordinary toaster

Measuring H21cm x W14.5cm x D40.5cm, the toaster won’t take up much counter space, and the fact that it’s three appliances in one may sway buyers. Not to mention, it also eliminates the hassle of rummaging through the back of your appliance cupboard to get the toaster out when you feel like using it (let’s be honest, we all know that feeling).

A third shopper commented on the size, saying: “I was worried about how big the toaster would be and honestly, I was worried about spending so much money on a toaster. How wrong could I have been?

“The device itself is long but not very wide, so it takes up very little counter space. It easily fits 2 slices of large toast and you can choose how well done you want it. All in all, I can now say that it is well worth the money and has been a great addition to my kitchen.”

Among the many glowing reviews, there were a few from shoppers who said they weren’t impressed with the standard toaster function, although they were happy with the panini and grill functions. “However, I’m quite frustrated with the toaster function itself. I like my toast very well done. There are 7 levels of ‘browning’, but the first 4 don’t even heat the bread, let alone brown it.”

Looking at Ninja, Dunelm and Amazon, the 3-in-1 currently costs the same price everywhere at £149.99, although upcoming sales such as Prime Day on July 16 could bring a welcome discount for Amazon shoppers. Those not happy with paying almost £150 for a gadget can find this sleek matte black Salter toaster for £50.
