Vestas wins 63 MW order in Turkey

Vestas has received an order for 63 MW from Kangal Energy, Is Portfoy Infrastructure VCIF and Is Portfoy Renewable Energy VCIF for the expansion of five existing wind farms Kangal, Bereketli, Akyurt, Karaçayir, Konakpinar. All located in Sivas and Tokat, Turkey.

The contract covers the delivery and installation of a total of 12 V150-4.5 MW wind turbines and two V136-4.5 MW wind turbines, as well as a 10-year Active Output Management 4000 (AOM 4000) service contract.

We are pleased that the versatility of our portfolio continues to contribute to the development of wind energy in Turkey,” said Levent Ishak, Head of Vestas Türkiye.

Delivery of the turbine is planned for the first half of 2025, while commissioning is scheduled for the second half of 2025.

Vestas installed the first wind turbine in Turkey in 1984 and has since supplied the country with over 2 GW of wind power.
