Lowri Richards becomes Chief Executive of Lochalsh and Skye HA

Lochalsh and Skye Housing Association has appointed Lowri Richards as its new Chief Executive.

Following a recruitment process, the panel made the decision to appoint Ms Richards to the position. Throughout the process, she demonstrated that she had the necessary skills, abilities and attributes to ensure the association continued to provide a high quality service to all its stakeholders.

Mrs Richards has worked in a variety of roles within the housing sector, most recently her passion for supporting and empowering tenants saw her take on the role of Tenant Engagement and Support Manager at LSHA and move to Skye.

She said: “It is a privilege to have the opportunity to make a positive impact on housing in Skye and Lochalsh. The sector faces many challenges but there are also great opportunities in the coming years.

“I am very excited to work with the board and staff; to listen to the community, meet local needs and improve outcomes for tenants.”

Ian Young, Chairman of the Board, said: “We are delighted to welcome Lowri as our new Chief Executive Officer. Lowri has demonstrated throughout the recruitment process that she has all the skills and abilities required for this role.

“The Board looks forward to working with Lowrim in this new role to grow the association and continue to provide high-quality homes and services to our tenants.”
