Real estate developer makes a series of acquisitions

Rotherhill Developments, a Midlands-based property developer and asset manager, has made a number of acquisitions in the first half of 2024.

The sites acquired include industrial sites in Nottinghamshire, Rugby, King’s Lynn, Barnsley and Leicestershire and were an opportunity to expand the company’s geographical reach.

Of the six sites, five are income generating through short to medium term leases and provide Rotherhill with asset management opportunities.

The Rugby site is currently empty, with Rotherhill having placed a building contract worth over £1m to secure the site for the future.

Commenting on the first six months of the year, owner Paul Bagshaw said: “It has been a busy period for us. We have recruited Stuart Waite from Commercial Property Partners, promoted Ed Jeffrey to director in recognition of his hard work over the last five years and have successfully acquired six assets with a combined value of around £15 million with our long-standing partners and funders.

“The assets purchased extended our geographical reach from King’s Lynn into Yorkshire and the plot sizes were within our traditional ‘sweet spot’ of £1m to £5m.”
