Key conclusions

  • The NH-D15 G2 housing uses state-of-the-art NF-A14x25r G2 PWM fans.
  • Equipped with eight heat pipes and asymmetrical fins.
  • Better compatibility with offset design.
  • The Torx-based SecuFirm2+ multi-socket mounting system has been modernized.
  • Contains Noctua’s high-quality NT-H2 thermal paste.
  • Available in standard, HBC (high-convex base) and LBC (low-convex base) variants.
  • 6-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Advanced cooling technology

The NH-D15 G2 is the improved second generation of Noctua’s iconic NH-D15. It features state-of-the-art NF-A14x25r G2 PWM fans with speed shift, eight heatpipes and asymmetric fins that have been carefully tuned to work with the new fans. This combination provides even better quiet operation than its predecessor, making the G2 version a true flagship model that can compete with many All-in-One (AIO) water cooling solutions.

In addition to improved performance, the NH-D15 G2 offers increased compatibility thanks to its offset design that allows it to bypass the top PCIe x16 slot on most current motherboards. The G2 version has also been upgraded to the Torx-based SecuFirm2+ multi-slot mounting system with an included NM-SD1 screwdriver, as well as Noctua’s excellent NT-H2 thermal paste. These improvements make the NH-D15 G2 the new number one choice for customers who demand the best in air cooling.

Platform-specific variants

The NH-D15 G2 is available in a regular, standard version and two specialized variants:

  • Regular NH-D15 G2: Perfect for AM5 and LGA1700 processors. Offset mount and NM-ISW1 pads included.
  • HBC variant (high base convexity): Optimized for LGA1700 processors with full ILM clamping or permanent deformation.
  • LBC variant (low base convexity): Optimized for relatively flat processors, it offers excellent contact quality with AMD AM5 and other flat processors.

Fans NF-A14x25r G2

For customers looking to upgrade existing radiators such as the first-generation NH-D15, NH-D15S, or NH-U14S coolers, the new NF-A14x25r G2 round-frame fans are also available separately. They are available in a standard single-fan package (NF-A14x25r G2 PWM) and a dedicated dual-fan package for push-pull configurations (NF-A14x25r G2 PWM Sx2-PP). These fans are finely tuned with a 50 RPM speed offset to prevent acoustic interaction phenomena such as periodic humming or intermittent vibration.

Prices and availability

The NH-D15 G2 CPU cooler is priced at $150, making it a great choice for those looking for a high-end air cooling solution. The NF-A14x25r G2 fans are available in both single-fan and dual-fan packages to meet a variety of cooling needs. A square-frame version of the NF-A14x25 G2 fan, designed for water-cooled radiators and case cooling applications, is set to be released in September.

  • NH-D15 G2: €149.90 / $149.90
