Apple files petition to remove ‘dominance’ from China antitrust ruling: report

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) has filed a motion with a Chinese court seeking to overturn a ruling won by the company because it claims the tech giant has a “dominant position” in the app market, Bloomberg reported.
Apple wants China the top court is to remove references from the ruling, which a lower court dismissed in May due to lack of evidence, the news agency reported addedciting the act. The company also takes issue with the “unfair pricing can harm consumers” language in the lower court’s decision. The company collects a percentage of revenue from developers around the world when a user downloads a paid app or purchases in-app items.
Cupertino, California-based Apple did not immediately respond to Seeking Alpha’s request for comment.
The shares were slightly higher late on Wednesday morning.
