Search Minerals (TSXV: SMY) has named Joseph Lanzon as interim CEO and Greg Andrews as interim CFO and corporate secretary, following the formation of a new board of directors consisting of Joseph Lanzon, Rohan Hazelton and Diane Poole. (TSXV:SMY) (“Search” or “Business“) is pleased to announce that the newly formed board of directors of Search (hereinafter “Board“), consisting of Joseph Lanzon, Rohan Hazelton and Diane Poole, has named Mr. Joseph Lanzon as Interim Chief Executive Officer and Mr. Greg Andrews as Interim Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary. The Board is pleased to form an Advisory Board with the support of Dr. Randy Miller to lead and re-establish our exploration team, and Mr. Ed Moriarity will play a key role in our communications and environmental engagement.

Below are biographies of recently appointed individuals and consultants:

Greg Andrews, B.A. Communications – Mr. Andrews holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Finance from the University of Calgary. He has over 30 years of experience in strategic planning, financial advisory and administrative services to public and private companies. Mr. Andrews has held various positions with Search Minerals since 2009, most recently as CEO/President and Director until February 2023. He has held positions as CEO of a registered portfolio management company, CEO of a private family office and President of a wholesale distribution company. Mr. Andrews has also held various directorships in TSX Venture listed companies since 1993, including mining, oil and gas, technology and biotechnology companies.

Dr. Randy Miller, Ph.D, P.Geo – Dr. Miller has a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Toronto and is a Registered Professional Geologist (P.Geo) in Newfoundland and Labrador. He has extensive experience in rare earth exploration and work, including field mapping and supervising diamond drilling at the Strange Lake deposit in northwestern Labrador for Iron Ore Company of Canada. Randy also spent 12 years with the Newfoundland and Labrador Geological Survey as their REE/REE Specialist, mapping and investigating REE mineralization in both Labrador and the Newfoundland Islands. Dr. Miller’s publications include articles and reports on the Strange Lake deposit, mineralization and geology of the Nuiklavik volcanic rocks in the Flowers River area, and mineralization at Mann and Two Tom Lakes in the Lake Letitia area of ​​Labrador. The rare earth metallogenesis model developed from these studies forms the basis of Search Minerals’ REE exploration program in Labrador. Randy joined Search in 2009.

Ed Moriarity BA Pg.D – For the past 25 years, Mr. Moriarity has worked in private business, the not-for-profit sector and public service in both the Government of Canada and Newfoundland and Labrador. Ed’s career spans the construction, public administration and mining sectors. Ed has held senior positions in business development support, human resources management, public relations, policy, communications and marketing. Earlier this year, Ed founded Longpoint Energy Group Inc. to support clients engaged in mineral exploration and supply and mining services. With a broad network of industry and government contacts, Ed is an experienced business liaison; a dedicated professional committed to promoting clients’ business development, market access, trade and investment, community engagement and government relations needs. From 2013 to early 2024, Ed served as the Executive Director of Mining Industry NL, a business association dedicated to advocating and promoting mineral exploration and development, mining and supply and service opportunities for members and their projects throughout the province. Ed previously served as the Director of Communications for the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador for over eight years. Ed is a graduate of Memorial University, BA (Politics) and holds a PgD (Business Administration) from the University of Roehampton-London.
