OnePlus Summer Launch event to take place on July 16, Nord 4 and 2 other devices expected

Handset maker OnePlus has scheduled its Summer Launch event for July 16, the company announced on Wednesday. The specific devices that will be unveiled remain unknown. According to the leaks, the OnePlus Nord 4 is expected to debut at the OnePlus Summer Launch event. This follows the launch pattern of its predecessor, the OnePlus Nord 3, which was introduced in July last year.

OnePlus Buds 3 Pro, Watch 2R may launch alongside Nord 4

OnePlus has shared a new teaser with the word “Nord” in silver, another hint at the launch of the Nord 4. The company has promised to reveal more information in the coming days. The event is expected to officially unveil the OnePlus Buds 3 Pro and OnePlus Watch 2R alongside the Nord 4.

Notably, last year’s summer launch event focused on Nord-branded products, including smartphones and truly wireless stereo (TWS) headphones.

OnePlus has announced that its Summer Launch Event will take place in Milan, Italy on July 16. The company’s metal teaser card reads, “Some say it’s impossible to create a smartphone with the strength, refinement, and durability of metal in the 5G era. We say… Never settle.”

Some leaks and rumors suggest that the OnePlus Nord 4 could be a rebranded version of the China-exclusive OnePlus Ace 3V. The China-exclusive model sports a 6.74-inch flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1100 nits HBM brightness, and 2160Hz PWM dimming. The OnePlus Ace 3V is IP65-rated for dust and splash protection.

The OnePlus Ace 3V is equipped with a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. This OnePlus device runs on Android 14.

The OnePlus Watch 2R will likely feature the same design as the Chinese version of the OnePlus Watch 2, with an aluminum alloy casing. However, it is expected to have watered down specifications and features.
