ACC approves appointments for multiple overseas and subsidiary positions

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Wednesday approved the appointments of several officials to the overseas and POW posts of the Government of India. Here is the list:

Ashutosh Jindal, An Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of 1995 batch of Tripura cadre has been appointed as Minister (Economic) in the Economic Wing of the Embassy of India, Washington, USA. He has been appointed in place of Ravi Kota (IAS) on an interim basis, upgrading the post to the level of Additional Secretary, for a period of three years from the date of assuming charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier, by curtailing the tenure of his Central deputation as Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat under the Central Staffing Scheme.

Nikunj Kumar Srivastava, A 1998 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre has been appointed as Senior Advisor to the Executive Director of the World Bank, Washington, USA. He has been appointed in place of Rajeev Topno (IAS) on an interim basis, on promotion to the level of Additional Secretary, for a period of three years from the date of assuming charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Hrisheekesh Arvind Modak, A 2008 batch IAS officer of Manipur cadre has been appointed as Advisor to the Executive Director, World Bank, Washington DC, USA. He has been appointed in place of Rajender Kumar (IAS) for a period of three years from the date of his appointment or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Anshika Arora, Indian Economic Service (IES) officer of 2010 batch, has been appointed as Advisor (Services), Permanent Mission of India (PMI), World Trade Organisation (WTO), Geneva. She has been appointed in place of Sangeeta Saxena (IES), on completion of the confirmed term of office in the post on 18th July, for a period of three years from the date of assuming charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Ashutosh Salil, A 2010 batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre has been appointed as Advisor (Industries & Engineering), Indian Embassy, ​​Brussels. He has been appointed in place of N Ashok Kumar (IAS), for a period of three years from the date of assuming charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Prasanth Chandran, Indian Economic Service (IES) officer of 2007 batch has been appointed as Director, Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Secretariat, Dhaka. He has been appointed in place of Naresh Kumar (IFS) for a period of three years from the date of his appointment or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
