Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan to cooperate in agriculture, transport and logistics sectors

AKIPRESS.COM – Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, who is taking part in the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Astana, met with Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Dzhaparov on July 3, the Mongolian President’s office reports.

President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa noted that President Sadyr Dzhaparov’s visit to Mongolia in 2023 deepened relations between the two countries and strengthened the partnership.

The parties stressed that it is becoming increasingly important to strengthen friendly relations between the two countries, intensify high-level dialogue and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation.

The presidents appreciated the intensification of cooperation between the legislative institutions of both countries and the mutual official visits of the parliaments of both countries in 2024.

In order to further deepen friendly relations, the leaders of both countries expressed their willingness to cooperate closely and actively in the sectors of defense, trade, economy, education, tourism, agriculture, light industry, transport and logistics.

Both sides praised the intensive progress made in establishing the “Garden of Friendship of Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan” in Erdenet City, Mongolia, as well as introducing fruit and berry tree seedlings from Kyrgyzstan, coordinating the National “Billion Trees” Campaign in Mongolia and the “Green Heritage” initiative in Kyrgyzstan.
