ACEN enables ADB’s transition to 100% renewable energy

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has partnered with AC Energy (ACEN) to provide renewable energy to its headquarters in Mandaluyong City.

ACEN Renewable Energy Solutions will enforce the modernization of ADB’s facilities to accommodate renewable energy from its portfolio.

“This step reinforces ADB’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and further expands ACEN’s partnership with the bank, which has played a key role in driving the company’s growth through sustainable financing,” said CEO Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala.

“As the Asia-Pacific climate bank, ADB is committed to reducing its carbon footprint. This includes sourcing electricity from renewable sources such as solar and wind,” said ADB Vice President for Administration and Corporate Governance Bruce Gosper.

The regional lender invests in green initiatives aimed at mitigating climate change and global warming.
