Mizoram Governor urges NRIs to raise awareness of govt policies

Mizoram Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati has asked the Press Information Bureau (PIB), the central nodal agency, to increase dissemination of information regarding government policies. The initiative is aimed at increasing enrolment in various centrally sponsored schemes, sources told Raj Bhavan on Thursday.

Governor Kambhampati discussed this with PIB CEO (North-East Zone) K Satish Nambudiripad during a meeting at Raj Bhavan. He highlighted that many stakeholders and eligible beneficiaries are missing out on benefits and financial assistance due to insufficient awareness.

Accompanied by DDK Director (News) Nampibou Marinmai, Nambudiripad was briefed on the need for effective communication to ensure that the target audience is well informed about available programmes and assistance.
